Duties & Responsibilities: Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) Has a thorough knowledge of all athletic policy approved by the Davenport Board of Education Promote the entire athletic program and adhere to the philosophies and policies of Sudlow JH Must possess an enthusiastic attitude and ability to understanding intermediate age athletes in an athletic setting Develop players to their fullest potential, starting with the basic fundamentals of fitness and track and field.
Supervise players at all practices and meets as well as in the locker room and on the bus Monitor and enforce district academic standards and policies Responsible for maintaining all equipment/apparel Must be available for evenings Work in cooperation with the Director of Athletics for the Davenport Community Schools and in cooperation with the Activity Director at Sudlow Junior High Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students, to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential Good attendance and punctuality are a must, to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV ?Yes ? No) (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
