POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager Commercialization, is accountable for leading and setting a standard of excellence for the team of Product Commercialization Managers across Liberty Packaging.
This role will drive consistent processes and best practices throughout the PCM team, and will own training and development of the team to optimize Liberty’s commercialization of business and the customer experience.
This role will also drive alignment within and across Liberty Packaging’s front-end and other business systems.
This full-time position reports to the Director, Sales Operations and is located at any one of our Liberty Packaging facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deploy standardized commercialization process and effectively manage migration to new operating model (process, tools, training, systems) to ensure new product development is effectively and efficiently managed from initial request to first order.
In partnership with IT, align WebCenter, Amtech, CRM, and other business systems, to facilitate efficient, adjusting system and process complexity based on project complexity.
Develop commercialization team’s capabilities regarding processes, systems, and standard work, leaving targeted variability for process exceptions.
In partnership with subject matter experts, develop training programs for Commercialization roles, leverage systems and business intelligence to drive improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
Train PCMs to quickly and appropriately recognize desirable work and margin improvement opportunities that align to our production methods and equipment.
Develop team to understand equipment capabilities, improve communication during item development, and improve customer experience – serving the customer, protecting resources, and identifying the “right” work for Liberty.
Lead commercialization workstream regarding customer onboarding programs and processes, ensuring best practices facilitate efficient movement during the onboarding of new customers and products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Systems, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years’ people leadership experience.
3+ years’ experience designing and configuring systems and processes to meet business needs.
2+ years’ experience managing customer-facing projects.
Experience leading and collaborating in a matrixed organization.
Strong ability to influence up, down, and across.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
Ability to travel up to 25%
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Previous change management experience.
Previous experience with Webcenter and Amtech
Experience leading geographically distributed professional teams.
